Summer Getaway with College Friends

my best pals from college

Without a detailed plan for our trip, Verl, Jen and I went to Villa Del Carmen Resort in San Rafael Bulacan last April 9. We took the Five Star bus from Cubao going to Cabanatuan via Sta. Rita exit with travel time of roughly 1.5 hours.  For my future reference, I'll include the towns & landmarks we passed through:

Sta Rita Exit -> Tabang Plaridel -> Plaridel -> Baliuag (SM and Baliuag Terminal) -> San Rafael sign -> Brgy. Capihan (2nd small chapel) -> less than 2 minutes tricycle ride from the chapel -> Villa Del Carmen

Finally, we’re able to spend time together (longer) after so many years! We had overnight stay at the hotel, took a day tour to 8 waves resort & hotel entrance, had snack at SM Baliuag and tried entering Northwood Golf Course but that was not successful as we're not part of any ongoing event! :p  Nevertheless, we did enjoy this trip and was able to relax in the pool and took some pictures which I'm sharing below:

Reese's Recognition Day - Nursery

Date: March 23, 2011
Time: 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Where: SM Centerpoint Cinema 2

Surprisingly, Reese woke up that day with a slight fever, cough and colds. We gave her paracetamol syrup and have her rested. Good thing she recovered fast and was able to make it to her recognition ceremony in the afternoon.

We arrived just in time. The program started with a prayer and welcome remarks. Then followed by dance presentations from each of the grade levels: Kinder, Nursery & Preparatory.

I was screaming on top of my lungs when Reese was dancing. She did quite well despite of the fact that she’s not 100% okay. She and her Nursery classmates danced in the tune of “Baby” by Justin Bieber.

Another presentation was a group song of “All You Need Is Love

Reese and her classmates each all got a Special Award, in her case it’s “Most Caring”.
Then Reese was also awarded with “Best in Computer” and “6th Honor” of their class.

Her dad and I were more than happy. Congratulations to our little cupcake! :-)
